Woodworm are the larvae from the wood boring beetles.

The most common type in the uk is the furniture beetle, they can be brought in to your house on an old piece of furniture or timber so it’s worth checking anything you bring in to your home.

The tiny holes found in the timber are called flight holes. They are created when the larvae leave the timber to become adult beetles.
