Mole hills / heaps of soil on the lawn, sinking areas on the lawn where the mole has dug tunnels underneath the surface. 

 

Moles have shovel like clawed front feet that can shift lots of soil to create tunnels for them to feed. 

 

Moles are known to have quite poor eyesight but have a very good sense of smell helping find their main food source worms and grubs.
